Policies & Cancellations
I do my best to be flexible and accommodating as much as possible because I prioritize all of my clients. So it's important for me to have helpful policies that serve as guidelines to ensure fairness and equity for my clients and also for my time.
Reserving My Time
Once you request a service and I confirm it, you are reserving my time, especially if a deposit is collected for a long term pet or house sit (a week or more).

Deposits
From time to time a deposit may be required to reserve my time, especially for long term pet or house sit requests that are over a week-long. For these requests the reservation is not confirmed unless a deposit of up to 50% is received.

Cancellations & Unforeseen Circumstances
Short-term (less than a week) pet and house sits: If a deposit or payment for services has been made, a full refund will be provided if you cancel 48 hours prior to the start of your reservation.
Long-term (more than a week) pet and house sits: A full refund will be provided if you cancel two weeks prior to the start of your reservation.
If I am able to fill your reservation with another client, I will give you a credit or refund.

Payment
Typically payment is made at the start of my care for your pet or your home.

Rate Adjustments
The rates for services generally take in a variety of considerations including: the number of pets and their specific needs, the responsibilities to care for the pet home and average market rates for the unique level of care that I provide as a seasoned pet and house sit professional. However, on occasion I will need to make a rate adjustment if the service you need is above a reasonable level of expectation or there are regional pricing considerations. I'll always discuss this with you up front, typically at the time of the complementary in-home 30 minute Meet & Greet.

Service Considerations
My long term in-home services are available throughout the US and abroad since I offer a traveling pet sitting service. Typically, my clients live in the Greater New England area, mainly Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island. Given the nature of my travel, I request there be a back up person for any scheduled daily drop-ins and dog walks while I am away. I always provide plenty of notice if this is needed. This is also not a usual occurrence.
